Is it really?

Say it isn't so!  It can't be!  I can't hardly believe Christmas has come and gone..  The weather was chilly here recently (nothing like what the midwest and up north received).  Our Christmas day weather of mid 70's makes it hard to get in the full spirit of Christmas season.  Especially since I grew up in Kansas.  I guess I'll have to go find the white "snow" (aka sand) on the beach.  But I might have difficulty making a snowman with it....here are more Christmas card ideas I tried out:

Christmas blessings to you and yours.  May the spirit of the season truly warm your heart as we remind ourselves of the precious birth of Jesus Christ and the miracle that unfolded.

Christmas cards!!

I really struggled this year with Christmas cards.  I usually find a theme or general concept I like and have no problems mass producing them in September through October.  This year was not the case.  When it's all said and done, I have about 4 different cards with different styles.  Below are a couple of photos to start you off...They're a work in progress, needless to say.  I am my worst critique!  I will try to get the rest of the cards posted before Christmas.  Key word..."try".

Wedding China

Do you have a set of china?  Do you use it often?  Do  you know where your china dishes are??

I have moved with my china dishes all over the world.  They have been in Turkey, England, Nebraska, Missouri...and now Florida.  I don't use my china enough.  I had an a-ha moment last month when asked to decorate a table at our church's annual Ladies' Brunch.

I think it's great how our church is always doing something fun.  There were over 100 women in attendance last weekend and it was a huge success!

The theme I used centered around my wedding china.  Ivory plates with gold and black.  I also incorporated silver.  I spray painted pinecones metallic gold, used silver and gold ornaments, gold glitter tissue paper, tea lights, candles, and made a treat for all the seats at my table.  Inside was...chocolate of course!!

Here are photos of my table.  It was great seeing all the creativity and themes.  Check back soon for Christmas card photos!!  woot woot!

Teacher's Need More Lovin'

Olivia's school recently asked for donations for the teachers.  They're providing a lunch and having a raffle.  I thought it would be a fun opportunity to use more of my Christmas supplies.  I donated 2 boxes with 4 Christmas cards in each.  They also received a couple of gift tags.

I think it's great, too, how they will be providing all the administration, bus drivers and custodial staff with donated treats too.  Now to find that special (and easy!) snack or cookie recipe...have one you want to share?  Please leave a comment!!  I never turn down a good recipe!

Crafts from Ladies' Retreat in Panama City

My church had a Ladies' Retreat again this year.  I wanted to make some special goodies for my 3 roommates.  They all received a set of cards just in different colors.  I love how they turned out!

Christmas is less than a month away!  YIKES!  Off to make more Christmas cards...Merry Christmas and happy shopping!!!

Delayed...

I realized in going through my photos I failed to post some.  My sister celebrated her anniversary in October and this is the card I had fun making for her and her husband.  In the process of making this card, I was inspired to make a couple of more too:

I have been working diligently on several projects this fall.  I'm a little stressed that all my Christmas cards are not finished.  NOOOOOOOO!  This is very uncommon for those of you who know me.  I am a planner...I am organized...I'm a bit OCD...But I have been working on other projects for Olivia's school.  I also did some projects for our church retreat and our church Ladies' Brunch.  Be watching for those photos to show up sooner than later!
Let the Christmas stress begin, lol!
