Fall colors in several varieties

I love fall, it's my favorite season.  I miss seeing sugar maple trees as they turn to red, oranges and yellows.  I made some cards using those favorite colors.

The first card I used as a "thinking of you" card for a church friend.

This card will be mailed soon to family.  I had to get a photo of my marigolds too:

I know there's blue in this card I used as a get well for a sorority sister's husband...and it's not necessarily fall colors.  But the blue sky shines all throughout fall too, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I have more photos to post, check back soon and don't forget to take time and see all the beautiful colors of the season that God has painted for you!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Ok, I am now at "that age" where I get annual mammograms.  There are some words in the english language (ok, maybe not the original language, but modern-day language) that I have never been crazy about saying.

But to encourage my readers to be proactive, I am going to type those uncomfortable words just for you:

The Ladies (you know who you are that call your breasts this)

Regardless of what you call them, it's Breast Cancer Awareness month and if you are a woman, PLEASE go get them checked!  If you are a woman and you get yours checked, you know how the technician squishes, squeezes, pinches and tries to be professional.  It's a simple test, takes minimal time, and could save your life!

Back to fall...
Yes, I have been busy!
Here are MORE fall cards!!!  Yipee!  I hope you enjoy!

If you had your mammo...post it and let me know your nickname for the girls, lol!

Fall in Florida for this Kansas girl

The pine needles are shedding, the leaves are falling, and our pinecones are dropping.  I can't keep up with them!  Thankfully I haven't been under a tree when one of the gargantuan pinecones falls to the ground.  Ouch - that would hurt!

Here is a photo of a large pinecone from some fall cleanup:

I've been working on some October cards for family and friends, I will be posting several photos this week, here are some to start

(Front cover):

We went to a pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago.  One word:  HOT
Remind me to wait until mid October to go next year.  It was their opening day, and it was about 96 degrees, and we were one of the few idiots that went.  We were all sweaty and miserable.  The poor kids got lost in corn maze and we had to go help them out.  The hay ride was full sun of course, and they didn't even want to do the teeter totter.  Ok, maybe because they're ages 13 and 17 now....but, I thought they might at least try. NOPE!
At least I did get a photo of a beautiful sunflower (yes, sunflowers in Florida for this Kansas girl) and we took a couple of pumpkins home that compliment my door.

Happy Fall!
