Hello from England!

Welcome to my blog!
We are a christian family living in the Sunshine state (before that we spent four years in England and two years in Turkey).

My posts are of everyday life and my love of crafting. I hope to inspire you in some way to share your talents too.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to leave a comment.
Cheers and God's blessings to you and yours!

Last of Valentine cards...

When I make cards and goodies, I usually "mass produce."  I opted out this previous holiday and made several one-of-a-kinds.  You can see some of those in my blog post from a couple of days ago.

Below are three more cards I made.  The "lava" one was for my son (couldn't do anything too cheesy) and the tea pot was for my daughter.

I am working on a mesh wreath - never thought I would, but now that I have a different technique than how I made the burlap wreaths in December, it has potential!  So check back next week and hopefully that will be posted!!

Our church is presently doing a 50-days of Transformation series that is really great.  You can see daily devotionals of it HERE.  I hope you take the time to do it and may you feel God transforming you and your life!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day.  If you don't have a significant other or spouse to tell you they love you, I want you to know that you are not alone and the most important person EVER loves you!  Who is this?  Well, God!

Here are just a couple Valentine cards I made recently.  I received a new craft frame-lit and stamp set for my birthday and wanted to try them out.  I made thank you cards for the givers:

The teacup opens up:

And I received this lovely goodie from a dear friend, thank you Annette!  Love you lots!

Winter is in full force in most states.  I think often about those who are dealing with shoveling, snow, ice, letting cars warm up, etc.  I grew up with that, but currently don't have to deal with it and think of those that do.  Hang in there! The groundhog did NOT see his shadow, so Spring is just around the corner!!

Before Spring arrives, we have some card-worthy holidays.
Notably, Valentine's Day  will be here very soon.  My daughter is still in the "eww, that's gross" stage when it comes to Kent and I kissing each other.  We like to show how much we love each other and hope it to be an example to our children of the appreciation of having a spouse that you love with all your heart.  It's ok, she doesn't hurt my feelings, it just means she's willing to be sheltered from this world a bit longer...
in the meantime, I am having fun celebrating Mardi Gras with Annette:

My sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi provided me with a cake for my birthday!
I recently made this casserole:

Here's a special special Valentine treat I made for Annette and Karen...it contained chocolate kisses and Ferrero Rocher!  Yum!
Sending you tons of love and blessings...
Happy Valentine's week!!!
