When Olivia was in the 3rd grade, she was introduced to an author named Tom Blofeld. He wrote some great chapter books for her age that are truly imaginative. These books became so popular and well know in the UK, that there is a small "adventureland" based on the books. This place is called Bewilderwood.
We visited this fun place yesterday. It's about 30 minutes northeast of Norwich (about 1 1/2 hr drive each way). Olivia brought a friend with her and we had a fun time. I think teenagers would be bored here, but it was great for pre-teens. It's set in the woods where there's a boat ride, slides, zip lines, obstacle courses, and more. We took a picnic lunch, toughed out a couple of spells of rain (of course, we are in England) and made the most of it.
